A painting of representation but also of concealment, of what lies between the lines. Since the perspectives of a truly contemporary art consist in blending inner geography with the elements found outside (always searching for depth, for discovery), GC Lucas speaks not only for what he is, but for what he finds — as if the echo of what we know as reality could be carried from sound into color. In his work, the initial intention is the concentration of what is seen, of what is touched, in order to extract what is most intensely primal.
