archeology road

2011

This series explores the decay and decomposition of everyday objects, turned into archaeological remains by the simple passage of time. Through this body of work, the artist critiques the technological vertigo of our era, where innovation advances at such speed that it turns the recent into the obsolete, and the obsolete into contemporary ruin. The visual proposal reflects on how technological advances rapidly transform novelties into cultural residue, granting them an almost archaeological character almost immediately. This series invites the viewer to reconsider temporality and the consumption of objects in the age of immediacy.
