objetos perdidos
2012
This piece addresses one of the most essential concerns of human existence: the relentless search for the self. It proposes a reflection on the impossibility of fixing a stable identity, given that being is in constant transformation. Within us there is a voice that advises and guides us, that criticizes and approves everything we do — yet that voice is not you either. We mutate through desires, interests, thoughts, and emotions that blur and reshape themselves day by day. The work suggests that fulfillment — that relentless longing — is commonly pursued externally: in friendships, travel, achievements, ideologies. Yet the paradox is that what we believe to be lost has never been outside us. What we are searching for lives in what is closest and most familiar.
